French ready-to-wear clothing brand Cacharel will not be participating at the forthcoming season of Paris fashion Week (PFW), scheduled to take place in February 2013, reported WWD.

The French label, which was slated to showcase its Autumn/Winter 2013-14 collection at PFW, would now be staging showroom presentations to unveil its women’s pre-fall collections, as well as children’s and men’s lines from January 15, 2013, onwards.

Set for a complete overhaul this year, the brand plans to lower prices and the design, sales and advertising responsibilities of the firm have been brought back in-house.

In a bid to reposition itself, the label will also produce its ready-to-wear clothing ranges in partnership with other French companies.

Founded in 1962, Cacharel has recently terminated its women's wear license with the Italian manufacturer Aeffe SpA.
