After conquering London and Milan, international menswear fashion will now be seen invading the runways of Paris with the city’s five-day-long sartorial fest Paris Menswear Fashion Week lined up to jumpstart from January 16, 2013, onwards.

This season, Parisian fashion circles will witness a range of eclectic autumn/winter 2013-14 men’s ensembles by a series of well known designers and clothing labels like Jean Paul Gaultier, Valentino, Givenchy and Dior Homme.

However, all eyes of the fashion world will be set on the most-awaited show of the season by the French fashion house Saint Laurent, which will present its first menswear collection under the newly appointed creative director Hedi Slimane.

The 44-year-old designer of French origin came in the limelight for revolutionising menswear fashion during his stint at Dior from 2000 to 2007. His androgynous styled super-skinny tailored pencil-thin looks were appreciated by designers from all over the world and immediately found an impressive fan list among the likes of Mick Jagger, Pete Doherty and Karl Lagerfeld.

In addition to Slimane, Raf Simons, the artistic director of Christain Dior’s women collection, will also present his latest autumn/winter creations for men under his own eponymous label at the event.
