British Columbia Fashion Week (BC Fashion Week) is inviting designers, buyers, media and industry around the globe to participate in the upcoming fashion week scheduled in Vancouver from April 4th to April 9th, 2006 for Fall/Winter 2006.

The state of the art venue of the Scotiabank Dance Centre in downtown Vancouver is home for the third season, showcasing Fall/Winter 2006 Canadian collections.

“The Faris Studio will provide the canvas for the sets used to showcase the talents of our participating designers,” states Vladimir Markovich, Executive Creative Director.

“Further details about the design of the venue will be announced closer to the delivery dates for BC Fashion Week,” continued Markovich.

Continued support and endorsement for the week has been received from communities, businesses and governments at the municipal, provincial and federal level including Western Economic Diversification and Industry Canada.

“This support reaffirms to our designers, sponsors, buyers and key partners that the week is delivering business development support for the industry on the world stage,” states Debra Walker, executive director of BCFW.

“Fashion Week brings new trends and cutting edge creations to the world. It forms the highlight of the season's fashion calendar in any region, and has been proven effective worldwide for almost a century now. It provides the vehicle to show the world the amazing talent we have here in British Columbia and Canada, across the industry,” said Walker.
