A parade of furry ensembles was seen at the Florentine designer Roberto Cavalli’s latest presentation on the fourth day of Milan Fashion Week.

For his autumn/winter 2013-14 collection, the 72-year-old design veteran created a range of glittery studs, pleats and knits incorporated tunics and dresses to give an armour or chainmail like impression. The medieval-era inspired collection also featured flared trousers and sharp shouldered jackets.

German fashion designer Jil Sander showcased once again her signature purely minimalistic feminine line at the event. The refined luxurious range featured mid-calf length coats in navy, slate and sky blue shades, demure midi skirts, abstract-printed cashmere polo necks and oversized jackets.

Italian fashion house Emilio Pucci, under its creative director Peter Dundas, presented a warm autumnal 1960s inspired collection infused with their trademark abstract prints. The fur and sequin infused line featured miniskirts, flowy shirts, sheer dresses and fuzzy coats in blue, tan and white colours.

German-born designer Tomas Maier from the luxury brand Bottega Veneta featured a felt, flannel and cashmere dominated collection. Encrusted with Swarovski crystals, the range included pleated skirts, high-waisted 1950s secretary style sweaters and black, mustard and cerise toned dresses.
