The 57th Spanish fashion extravaganza Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Madrid (MBFWM), which concluded last week, promoted and featured solely the works of young designers on the final day of the event.

Under the MBFWM’s emerging designers’ platform EGO, the show started with Valencia’s up and coming talent Pepa Salazar’s collection. The designer’s latest collection featured Origami-inspired ensembles in vivid volumes. The line included long and short skirts as well as classy shirtdresses with wide necklines in a soft palette of white, yellow, blue, gray and black.

Designer Paula Andrew showcased a streetwear collection with bold masculine accents.  The velvet, neoprene and silk poplin made ensembles were strategically cinched on waists and hips to do complete justice to the curvy feminine forms.

Spanish designer Miguel Becer, under the name of ManéMané, featured a classy collection, which was heavily influenced by the styles of veteran designer Angel Schlesser. Enhanced with masculine silhouettes and feminine embroidery, the wearable line included silk dresses in green and blue, bright red trench coats, buttoned down shirts and knee length shorts.
