The final day of Milan Fashion Week (MFW) saw exclusive autumn/winter creations by new and upcoming designers under the two design platforms titled NUDE (New Upcoming Designers) and Next Generation.

Organized by the National Chamber of Fashion, NUDE featured latest collections by Mauro Gasperi and Francesca Liberatore. Budding designer Gasperi’s architecture-inspired line included clean cut silhouettes emphasizing the symmetrical building like structures in clothes with contrasting hues.

Liberatore showcased a collection that defined harmony in chaos. The talented designer presented an array of black coloured outfits spiced up with an abundant use of jacquard red flames, prints and voluminous cuts.

Next Generation, the design competition which showcases creations made only by designers under the age of 30, was jointly organized by National Chamber of Italian Fashion and Chamber of Commerce of Milan.

The four contestants of Next Generation were Ryuya Ohishi (Japan), Miguel Garcia Abad (Spain), Lucia Jiyon Jang (Korea) and Isabella Zoboli (Italy), who won the Special Jury Prize for her biker-chic clothing line.

Beijing-based Chinese couture designer Wang Peiyi finally wrapped up the Italian fashion extravaganza by presenting his maiden catwalk show at MFW. The 38-year-old designer’s collection was inspired by Aurora Borealis, the natural light display in high latitude regions like Arctic and Antarctic. Made of luxe elegant fabrics, the ensembles of the line were accentuated with sequins, beads, embroidery and Swarovski crystals.
