The first day of the nine-day-long bi-annual ‘Paris Fashion Week’ got underway with the catwalk show by the experimental South Korean designer Moon Young Hee.

The Paris-based designer presented a very masculine style womenswear autumn/winter 2013-14 collection, which featured voluminous trousers, ruffled tops and floor-length long skirts in a neutral palette of black, white, grey and ecru.

Clothing label Ground Zero showcased a hallucinogenic print dominated range. The line’s latest ensembles included trousers, jackets, skirts, sweaters and mini-dresses in vibrant blue and bright red hues.

Le Moine Tricote’s designer Alice Lemoine’s line was an interesting mix of a variety of woven and knit patterns. The 15-piece collection featured black mid-length coat dresses, frilly long tops, short skirts and streamlined double-tone outfits in sombre shades of black, beige and occasional dashes of orange.

Belgian designer Anthony Vaccarello showcased an ultra-sexy and sensuously feminine collection. With a liberal use of transparent laces and metal embellishments, the range’s ensembles included tiny leather skirts, skinny trousers, structured coats and woollen boleros.
