The spectacular catwalk shows at the recently concluded seven-day-long Italian fashion fest Milan Fashion Week (MFW), has given fashion watchers around the world a fair idea about which trend to follow next season.

Among those future styles that are going to rule the fashion circles everywhere, fur or feather decorated statement jackets and coats, shown at Fendi, Jil Sander and Armani’s presentations, are here to stay. Available in different cuts, materials, prints and colours, the innovative outerwear ranges are surely going to make their way into the fashionistas’ wardrobes next season.

Another trend that was also quite visible in the shows of Dolce & Gabbana and Moschino, was the use of classy fabrics and prints. The talented design maestros, through their vast display of outfits at the event, gloriously announced the return of traditional plaid, tweed and checks.

The next in line is the ladylike look with cinched waist, sheer panelling and higher modest necklines on feminine ensembles as shown by Salvatore Ferragamo, Bottega Veneta, Alberta Ferretti and Missoni at MFW.

In terms of colours the fashion messiahs like Versace, Gucci, Prada, Blumarine and Gianfranco Ferre have predicted the dominance of bold bright hues like yellow, red and ultra violet accompanied with a striking contrast of spotless whites for next fall-winter.
