Late American artist and the leading figure of 1950’s visual art movement Andy Warhol was the inspiration behind Parisian fashion house Christian Dior’s latest fall-winter collection showcased on the fourth day of Paris Fashion Week.

The French lifestyle label presented its second ready-to-wear collection under their new creative director Raf Simons at the bi-annual event. Featuring Warhol’s illustrations, the 45-year-old Belgian designer’s line included loose bar jackets, grey denim skirts, crocheted suits, statement coats and leather cocktail dresses with tulle bustles.

French fashion designer Roland Mouret, known for creating ladylike chic ensembles, featured yet another feminine line highlighting womanly curves. The autumn/winter 2013 collection showcased trousers, blouses, jackets and animal printed body hugging fitted dresses with full-length back zips in shades of black, ivory, crimson and tobacco.

Issey Miyake, the Japanese fashion designer who is famous for his technology-driven clothing designs, presented a very cheerful apparel collection brimming with bright colours. Inspired by vivid earthy landscapes seen from the sky, the stretchy ensembles of the line featured optical criss-cross, dense forest and chequered patterns based on a contrasting palette of rich ultramarine, jade, green, turquoise and vermilion.
