The recently concluded Birmingham Fashion Week, held in the US state of Alabama, showcased a range of exclusive apparel collections created by well-known local and international designers.

Project Runway All Stars’ season two winner Anthony Ryan Auld featured his latest Fall/Winter 2013 collection, which included straight lined ensembles in bold colours at the glitzy five-day-long fashion event.

Fashion Designer Annie Griffin from Tennessee showcased her 70s style Palm Beach, Florida-inspired spring/summer collection at the soiree. Based on a pastel colour palette, the apparels of the line featured bright floral and eyelet prints.

Birmingham Fashion Week co-founder and bridal designer Heidi Elnora wrapped up the event with her Heavenly Days line. Inspired by the Oscar nominated film Snow White and the Huntsman, the range featured a variety of handmade bridal gowns detailed with beautiful lace, beading and ruffles.

Other than the perfectly staged catwalks, there were also contests like Emerging Designer (college students) and Rising Design Star (high or middle school children) for the up and coming talents of Alabama.
