the international conference “fibrous materials xxi century” will be held on the basis of st petersburg state university of technology and design and supported by the ministry of science of russian federation, st petersburg government, russian academy of science, st petersburg council of rectors, and the textile institute.

invited speakers will present reports covering many aspects of textile materials and technology including:

1. advances in fibre manufacturing and technology of fibrous materials (textiles, compound materials
and composites);
2. modern sustainable technologies, recycling, and ecology in the production of fibre and fibrous
materials;
3. equipment, instruments, testing methods and control in research and manufacturing; automation
and computerization;
4. physics and chemistry of fibres and fibrous materials;
5. structural mechanics of fibres and fibrous materials;
6. properties and application of novel and modified fibres and fibrous materials.
