Parsons School of Design alumnus Begüm Salihoglu presented her latest autumn-winter 2013-2014 haute couture collection on the second day of the inaugural edition of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Istanbul.

The Istanbul-born designer’s 10-piece line showcased a range of transparent, asymmetrical outfits featuring an imaginary forest. The ensembles of the dreamy romantic collection were made of luxe fabrics like French dantalleri, silk, chiffon, lace and tulle.

Tuvanam brand, owned by designer Tuvana Büyükçinar Demir, presented a modern feminine line comprised of bold revealing clothes. The outfits of the collection were made of leather, see-through knits, sequins and fringes.

Internationally acclaimed designer Emre Erdemoglu showcased a past meeting present menswear range at the event. The designer’s collection of crimson-hued tweed suits and grungy leather apparels projected two varied looks—one of an Italian gentleman and the other a punk rocker.

Turkish designer Niyazi Erdogan’s eponymous men’s apparel line featured a stylish yet completely wearable collection, which included cropped trousers, two toned jackets, trench coats, trousers and patterned undershirts.
