Milan’s Istituto Marangoni trained fashion designer Christopher Bates presented his super chic, dashing, urban menswear collection on the third day of the World MasterCard Fashion Week in Toronto.

The Toronto-based designer’s fall/winter line featured deep blue rain coats with black trims, metallic collared white shirts, leather gloves, waxed denim tuxedo, wool sports jackets and teal coats.

Romanian-born designer Lucian Matis’ eponymous line Matis by Lucian Matis showcased a heavy on prints ready-to-wear collection at the event. Rich with brightly coloured Kaleidoscopic, floral and paisley prints, the line included muted long and short dresses as well as black diamond studded sophisticated body-hugging knits.

Award winning clothing label Ashtiani, by designer Golnaz Ashtiani, featured an ultra feminine line replete with traditional materials like velvet, mohair, silk and organza. Infused with modern contemporary silhouettes, the collection included stretch knit dresses with shredded silk panels and midnight blue jumpsuits with patent leather peplums.

Mackage, owned by Montreal-based designers Eran Elfassy and Elisa Dahan, presented a range which was full of ready-to-wear and outerwear pieces, which include leather leggings, short skirts, buffalo checked shorts, pea coats and red jackets.
