Designer Raquel Davidowicz opened the final day of Sao Paulo Fashion Week (SPFW) with a minimalistic, lightweight and wearable collection inspired by the artworks of Brazilian artist Lygia Clark.

Featuring varied silhouettes with layers and elongated overlays, the range included knee-length dresses, long straight cut pants, blouses, tunics and tank tops in digital prints and geometric patterns replicating Clark’s famous piece of art Critters.

Clothing label Teak by designer Helo Rocha drew inspiration from Beijing’s Li Xiaofeng, known for creating garments with porcelain fragments, for the latest collection. Spiced up with prints of classical Chinese vases, Portuguese tiles and handmade embroidery, the range included light fluid gowns, blouses, jackets, blazers and shorts in shades of black, white and blue.

Rodrigo Rosner’s eponymous line R.Rosner showcased a romantic range of fairy tale like party dresses. Made with luxe organza, zibeline, silk satin, tulle and lace, the dramatically voluminous ensembles were decorated with precious crystals, ruffles, overlays and ostrich feathers.

Designer Lino Villaventura wrapped up the 35th edition of the five-day-long Latin American fashion revelry SPFW with a vividly textured and transparent line. With an abundant use of patchwork and embroidery, the sensuously luxurious pieces include dresses with exaggeratedly wide sleeves, half kimonos and mid kaftans in black, white, ochre, nude, emerald, red, copper, gold, bronze and silver tones.
