Brazil born Canadian fashion designer Vinicius Lacerda kicked off the World MasterCard Fashion Week finale in Toronto with his solidly structured school uniform-inspired dark collection.

Made with black leather and vinyl kilts, the 20-year-old’s Autumn/Winter 2013-14 line featured printed shirts, acrylic fuzzy sweaters, long pleated skirts, high-rise sweat pants, baseball jackets and neoprene suits in black, burgundy and lemon yellow colours.

Travis Taddeo showcased a furry men’s and women’s collection made of coyote, raccoon, beaver and recycled fox furs. The ensembles of the range included black silk jerseys, second-skin leather jeans, jet crystal encrusted jackets, knee length sweaters and shoulder capes.

Toronto-based designer Stephan Caras unveiled his Timeless Sensuality collection inspired by the passionate nature of women on the final day of Toronto Fashion Week. Based on soft winter-white fabrics mixed with delicate lace, satin and silk chiffon, the range featured sculptured gowns, corsets, bustier tops, feather-fringed blazers and floaty skirts.

Canadian luxury fashion house Pavoni, by designer duo Derderian & Gianni Falcone, capped off the event with a romantic collection designed on a variety of feminine silhouettes. The range included gorgeous taffeta dresses, intricately beaded dramatic gowns, super-short armour like tight outfits, tiny lace minidresses and bejewelled tulle ballgowns.
