Wang Peiyi opens Mercedes-Benz China Fashion Week

Young Chinese designer Wang Peiyi, who has wowed the onlookers at the prestigious Milan Fashion Week with his innovative collections, presented his latest haute couture line on the opening day of Mercedes-Benz China Fashion Week, which aims to showcase latest Autumn/Winter 2013-14 ranges from more than 22 domestic and overseas designers. 
 
Around five hundred fashion journalists from local and international media are attending the week-long sartorial extravaganza which includes about 40 fashion-based professional events, including 23 session releases, four design contests and a number of fashion forums.
 
Nearly 24 domestic brands and agencies from 8 Chinese provinces and regions like Beijing, Guangdong, Shanghai and Zhejiang along with 12 foreign labels from Italy, South Korea and Japan are participating in the fashion week.
 
Chinese design talents like Zeng Fengfei, GAO Yang, Zhang Zhaoda, Du Wenshuai, Yuan Bing, Zhu Lin, Wu Qingqing, Huang Yunyun and Zhang Chuanteng alongside Korean designers Nan Zhixun, YOO Hyejin, LEE Juyoung, Rubina, SHIN Jangkyoung, JANG Yunjeong and Italian fashion designer Gabriele Colangelo will feature their avant-garde creations at the event taking place in the country’s capital city of Beijing.
 
Other than the dazzling array of runway presentations showcasing casual, formal, bridal and menswear lines, the event will also include a China International Silk and Womenswear Fair, taking place on March 27, 2013.
