Mychael to mentor designers at Nashville Fashion Week

This finale night of events, both of which will take place at Nashville's newest nightlife destination, Anthem, will seek to give these young designers wings to build a career and become a part of the future of fashion.

On hand to mentor these young designers throughout the weekend will be special guest and Project Runway:

All Star Challenge designer Mychael Knight. Knight will also be a special guest for the Friday night shows and while in Nashville, he will be visiting local boutiques and curating a mentoring brunch with the emerging designers on Sunday.

"I am so excited to be coming to Music City to experience Nashville Fashion Week, thanks to my long time friends, Red Bull, who I've partnered with throughout my career, " said Knight.

"I am looking forward to exploring the retail spaces that help make Nashville one of the most fashionable cities in the South and even more importantly, getting the opportunity to sit down with the group of 2013 emerging designers to discuss the challenges and the successes that have shaped me as a designer."

The final seven emerging designers were chosen by an online submission process and carefully selected from a large, competitive crop of fresh, young talent proving that Nashville is truly a thriving fashion and retail community that supports a vast array of creative talent.

Instead of a traditional runway show, these designers' collections will be showcased in a unique and innovative approach that is sure to spark conversation and excitement that will spill over into the official Nashville Fashion Week Closing Night Party.

The Emerging Designers Showcase begins at 7 p.m. on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at Anthem (125 12th Avenue North) with the Closing Night Party sponsored by William Edge Salon immediately to follow at 9:30 p.m. Admission is open to All Access Pass holders, VIP and Saturday event ticket holders.
