Les Miserables costumes on display at HMNB Portsmouth

Nineteen costumes from the 85th Academy Award winning British musical drama film Les Miserables are on display at the Mary Rose Story museum of Portsmouth Historic Dockyard, located in Her Majesty's Naval Base (HMNB) Portsmouth.
 
Running till April 14, 2013, the exhibition features the costumes worn by the major characters of the Oscar and BAFTA nominated Hollywood blockbuster, such as the Valjean convict outfit which actor Hugh wore in the Portsmouth scenes.
 
The exhibits also include other colourful costumes worn by actress Anne Hathaway, Isabelle Allen, Amanda Seyfried and Helena Bonham Carter in the iconic film.
 
Tom Hooper directed Les Miserables is a silver screen adaptation of the Victor Hugo written French novel with the same title, published in 1862.
 
Parts of the critically acclaimed hit movie have been shot in various locations of the HMS Victory and Portsmouth Naval Base, UK.
