Prime Source Forum returns with better ideas

Five keynote speakers addressed the forum. They were Edwin Keh, CEO of the Hong Kong Research Institute of Textiles and Apparel (HKRITA) and Lecturer at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Aung Win, Vice Chairman, Myanmar Garment Manufacturers Association; MD, Maple Trading Co., Ltd., Dennis Meseroll, Executive Director of Tractus Asia Ltd, Dr. Peter Lau, Chairman and Chief Executive of Giordano International Ltd. and Ben Simpfendorfer, Managing Director of Silk Road Associates.

There were also four snapshot presentations dealing with the Internationalisation of the Chinese currency RMB, An overview of the ASEAN countries, Trade and Customs Issues in Asia and Future of fashion distribution models in China. These presentations were made by representatives of the Royal Bank of Scotland, the Source ASEAN Full Service Alliance (SAFSA), KMPG and LifeStyle Logistics Ltd.

The 8th PSF was opened by Michael Duck, Director of APLF Ltd and Executive VP at UBM Asia Ltd.  and the HKSAR’s Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Mr Gregory So, welcomed the audience in a speech that centred on the advantages of Hong Kong as a major global sourcing and logistics hub.
