Loni Edwards to be honored at 2013 Fashion Front Awards

Recognized for her commitment to inspiring the emerging fashion community, Loni Edwards is also confirmed to present a keynote speech sharing her experiences within the fashion industry as well as to providing words of encouragement to emerging fashion designers and entrepreneurs.

Before starting Stitch Collective Loni Edwards studied at Harvard Law School and then practiced intellectual property law at a top firm. While she enjoyed her time at the firm, Loni wanted to do something where she would feel more of an impact. After spending time in the garment district and getting a behind the scenes look at the fashion industry, the idea for Stitch Collective was born.

Celebrating it's 3rd annual year, the 2013 Fashion Front Awards is an exciting event honoring emerging stars within your city's fashion community. New York fashion lovers can mark their calendars, as the 2013 Fashion Front Awards NYC is schedule to take place Friday May 3rd, 2013 at 8 PM.

Guests will enjoy six live runways presentations from rising New York fashion designers, special live performances, and an exciting awards ceremony recognizing emerging artists and professionals within New York's fashion community.

Hosted at internationally recognized Lair NYC, Executive Chef Chris Cheung, known for his “Evolutionary Chinese Cuisine” is inviting guests to enjoy complimentary appetizers from 8 PM – 9 PM, and there will be no shortage of delicious specialty cocktails at the bar. The 2013 Fashion Front Awards NYC is proud to benefit, ProjectArt, an NYC-based free arts education organization that allows youth to create art without limits.

For two years, the Fashion Front Awards has provided young fashion designers and other creative members of the industry a platform to share their talents.

Founded in 2010, the Fashion Front Awards recognizes emerging fashion talent within local communities around the world with creative awards, serves host to fun runway competitions, and incubates talent by providing business support and marketing tools to all participants. Popular designers like New York’s Austin Paul and Raun LaRose and Los Angeles Rumple Munkeh and Angel Johnson have all taken home Fashion Front Awards.
