Vancouver based BC Fashion Week (BCFW) is pleased to announce the ongoing production and upcoming release of two projects aimed at promoting the innovations and trends in sport and outerwear in Western Canada. 'Project SNO' and 'Project SUN' are multi-media windows into the new dimension of lifestyle fashion originating from the most innovative street, snow, yoga and surf brands.

The hottest brands are showing up in both the sports as well as on the street, or slopes, making their own style statement. “One of the biggest characteristics of the West Coast is lifestyle.:

“The west coast is the mother land for some of the most established and world renowned designers in sport and recreation wear. Vancouver has a number of designers and firms that bring the international spotlight on innovations in active wear fashions.”

“Local designers are producing lines for the fashion conscious consumer – those who follow runway trends and incorporates them in active outdoor wear,” “The last number of years have seen a lot of changes in design of outdoor wear.”

For the upcoming season, Project SNO 2006 will be delivered through collaborations with partners such as Ecstatic Designs, Shelter Productions Vancouver and Mount Seymour. The project commences with filming on location on Mount Seymour during February 23rd, 24th and 25th, 2006.

“In the beautiful surroundings of Mount Seymour, the crew will be capturing the buzz around winter fashion style and reporting on the trends,” continued Markovich. “Over the 5 days of BC Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2006, audiences will be exposed to exclusive footage from Project SNO, each day revealing a different element of the project,” he said.
