High profile fashion event BC Fashion Week (BCFW) informs that the opening gala for BC Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2006 will be celebrated by the launch of the 'not fit for print' exhibition at the Buschlen Mowatt Gallery in Vancouver.
'Not fit for print' is a photography exhibit showcasing photographers personal favorite shots that never made it into print. The show will feature 30 images from Canadian fashion photographers and will continue open to the public for the duration of fashion week - April 4th to April 9th, 2006.
“There is always that one image that for some reason never got to be published but it has a special beauty and holds a treasured spot with the photographer,” said Vladimir Markovich, Executive Creative Director BC Fashion Week. “We are pleased to provide this rare opportunity for the Canadian public to view some of this never before published work of top photographers and share in these special works.”
Organized by Brady Dahmer Designs, an open call for all professional Canadian fashion photographers is currently being held. Photographers are asked to submit their favourite fashion inspired piece of work that never made it to press by the deadline date for submissions of Friday, March 10th.
BCFW event aimed at establishing Vancouver as an emerging fashion centre and a true partner in the global fashion world, along with centres such as Milan, Paris, London, New York, Toronto, Los Angeles, Hong Kong, Montreal and Sydney.
