13TH International Guwahati Trade Fair 2006 inaugurated

Industries Trade Fair Association of Assam (ITFAA) has organized the 13th International Guwahati Trade Fair 2006 (IGTF) which will be a 12 day affair, at the Engineering Institute ground at Chandmari.

IGTF Vice-President Rajesh Das said the fair will definitely boost trade relationship between North East with South East Asian countries.

Entrepreneurs from various countries from the subcontinent, including Vietnam, Bangladesh, Turkey, Iran, Netherland, Pakistan, Nepal, Myanmar, Indonesia, Brazil, Malaysia, Singapore and Bhutan have converged here with a vast range of innovative products from their country.

Indian states have also registered their presence with around 500 medium and large companies from these regions putting up stalls this year.

IGTF-2006 would turn out to be a productive platform in terms of far-reaching discussions and interactions amongst investors, entrepreneurs, government officials and industry leaders at conferences, seminars, panel discussions during the duration of the fair, he hoped.

Thailand and Malaysian business officials today expressed satisfaction on bilateral business dealings between south east Asian countries and north-east.

Thailand's 27 companies are participating in this trade exposition, informed Mr Dolruedee Loyrasadorn, of Thai government trade office.
