For more than 13 years Lake Como has been hosting more than one hundred first-rate European exhibitors with their solutions to the most demanding international textile businessmen (the 2005 visitors arrived from 65 countries).

Proposte is the fifth element
In the fifth century b.C., Greek philosopher Empedocles classified the constitutive elements as earth air water fire.
We have added Proposte to these four primal roots, to underline its excellent, necessary function and highlight its leading role within the textile industry. Proposte, the fifth element and Simply necessary are the two recurrent slogans for the 2006 communication.
The Proposte challenge Proposte 2005 was all about classic textiles transformed by modern design as well as a penchant for technical innovation in fibres, yarns and finishes. Well-aware of the leading role they play within the furnishing textile industry, the Proposte producers have been working for months to create topnotch collections that can beat all the competition.

Giancarlo Canclini leaves the Proposte Board of Directors and leaves the floor to the new member Claudio Villa. The Board includes:
