Londonedge & Londoncentral are the trade fashion exhibitions for the alternative, club and streetwear markets. It enjoyed a positive February 2006 show with a healthy 30 percent increase in attendance.

The fashion industry has acknowledged that 2005 was a tough year but all the signs were positive as the shows recorded a 50 percent increase in online registrations ahead of the shows.

Thirty eight per cent of visitors came from overseas and the top 5 countries in attendance were Germany, Italy, France, Spain and Sweden.

Managing Director Carole Hunter said: “The atmosphere at the shows this season was very uplifting with a great deal of positive feedback from both exhibitors and buyers.”

“We received buyers from 39 countries as far flung as Peru, Mexico, Slovenia, Finland, Croatia and Iceland and were extremely pleased with our overseas attendance.”

The shows also welcomed a string of important retailers, with buyers in attendance from the likes of Harrods, T K Maxx, HMV, Maverick, Rollersnakes, Moist, Cult Clothing, Maniak, Flip and Exit.

Londonedge is the first, biggest and best show of its kind in the world. It caters to a group of some of the most exciting 'niches' in fashion, accessories and giftware. Collectively this results in an amazing presentation of merchandise unlike anything seen anywhere else in the world.
