The apparel industry, which ranks as the 10th largest manufacturing industry in Canada currently employs 70,000 in Canada. Apparel manufacturing occurs mainly in Quebec and Ontario (Quebec accounts for 55%; Ontario for 26%), represents 3 billion dollars in annual export earnings.
