Australian label Bless’ed are the Meek opened the penultimate day of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia (MBFWA) in Sydney with its latest Spring/Summer 2013-14 collection.

The brand’s young designer Maria Maung featured an ethereal yet modern range at the event. The sporty monochromatic collection was accentuated with digital prints in moody tones.

Next in the line was designer Sue Di Chio owned clothing label Suboo, which presented a neat, minimal and clean casual resortwear collection based on a simple palette of white, red, black and blue.

Focusing on key silhouettes and cut-outs, the ensembles include sculptural dresses, peplum skirts, fine leather crop tops, black pants, tailored blazers and white skirts with side panels.

Designer Phoenix Keating, who made his official MBFWA debut on the same day, featured an unusual collection telling the story of an alien woman fascinated with the lives of spaghetti westerns. The line featured leather-fringed silver tops with rounded shoulders, ruffled gowns and crisp shawls.

Newcastle-raised fashion talent Emma Mulholland presented her solo catwalk show at the event. Inspired by the sunny beaches and snowy slopes of Aspen, the 25-year-old’s brightly coloured line showcased bomber jackets, printed trousers and dresses.
