An exhibition paying tribute to the works of late Israeli fashion designer Lea Gottlieb is going on at Design Museum Holon, located in the country’s capital city of Tel Aviv.

Titled as ‘Lady of the Daisies’, the event not only offers an intimate view of her creations but also some rare insights into the life of the immensely talented design professional, who is still considered to be one of Israel’s most successful designers.

Sourced from her archives, the exhibits include embellished swimsuits, capes, frilly skirts, bright red robes and loose pants.

The exhibition also features the latest swimwear collection from her internationally famous luxury beachwear brand Gottex, which she founded in Tel Aviv in the year 1956.

The event, which aims to promote Israel as a unique destination for fashion-focused travellers, will run till May 4, 2013.

Primarily known for her avant-garde swimwear designs, Lea Gottlieb had won the first prize in the International Fashion Show in Cannes in 1972.
