The exhibits, to be displayed at the exhibition titled Hollywood Costume from April 24 to August 18, 2013, have been curated by the famous American film and theatre costume designer Deborah Nadoolman Landis.

Direct from London’s Victoria and Albert Museum, the event will not only offer an intimate view of the varied costume designs but also help in understanding the essential role played by costume designs in cinema storytelling.

The exhibits include Scarlett O’Hara’s green curtain dress from the 1939 movie Gone with the Wind, Cate Blanchett’s Alexandra Byrne-designed majestic gown in Elizabeth and the little black dress created by Hubert De Givenchy for Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany’s.

The exhibition will also include costumes from the 007 James Bond flick Casino Royale (2006), designer Consolata Boyle’s outfits for Meryl Streep in The Iron Lady (2011) and the high-tech Batman suit for Christian Bale in The Dark Knight Rises (2012) designed by Lindy Hemming.
