More than ten Peruvian fashion designers, along with the world’s renowned Spanish fashion talent Agatha Ruiz de la Prada, showcased their fall winter collections at the recently concluded Latin American glitzy sartorial soiree Lima Fashion Week (LFW).

Fashion designer Sitka Semsch presented a modern day line inspired from the ancient Inca Empire. Infused with Pre-Hispanic motifs, the contemporary ensembles featured a modified version of an Inca princess. Based on a bright palette of blue, orange, green and purple, the collection included dresses, jackets and pants made of alpaca knits.

Young fashion talent Elfer Castro also went back to the rich civilizations of Pre-Columbian America for designing his latest range. Drawing inspiration from the pre-Inca ruler Lord of Sipan, the northern Peru grown native cotton made apparels were based on the shades of brown, cream and green.

Modern and sophisticated womenswear label Fashion & Co. showcased a range of cocktail dresses replete with luxurious lace and rich intricate embroidery designs.

Veteran Spanish designer Agatha Ruiz de la Prada, who was a special guest at the five-day-long event, featured her 35-piece collection before a jam-packed crowd of nearly 1,200 people. Her line included striped knit dresses, tunics, skirts and jeans in pink, orange, yellow, red, blue, purple and green tones.
