Kazakhstan Fashion Week autumn-winter 2013-14 collections, one of the largest fashion events of Central Asia, has come to a close with a bevy of nearly 20 young and seasoned designers presenting their creations at the three-day-long event.

Local and international design talents belonging to Russia, Georgia, Ukraine, Latvia, Romania and the United States showcased several varieties of avant-garde apparel lines at the fashion week.

Big Kazakh names like Kamila Kurbani, Aigul Kassymova, LaRiya, Yerlan Zholdasbek, Aida Kaumenova, Aidos Suleimenov, Ainur Tursibek, Salta and Tamara Lamanukaeva along with their foreign counterparts Salle de Mode, Soul by Dennik Li, Irina Shumova, LouLou, Miau by Clara Rotescu and Greghor MacGreghor mesmerised the audience with their latest prêt-a-porte lines.

Four young local labels such as Leonid Zherebtsov, Sabina Makhmudova and BeMe, owned by designer duo Gulzhanat Baygunakova and Zarina Balfanbayeva, made their fashion week debut with their latest lines of flowy gothic dresses and other distinctive minimalistic apparel creations.

Georgian designer Katie Chkhikvadze presented a very classical collection infused with simple lines and clean cuts. Based on autumnal tones of black, white and cream, the ensembles were decorated with fur accents and bird prints.
