The participation of European exhibitors at this year’s China International Trade Fair for Apparel Fabrics and Accessories (Spring-Summer), also called Intertextile Beijing, held in Beijing, increased by 36 percent compared to last year.

Several fabric suppliers from Europe showcased their products at the exhibition in the hope of finding opportunities in the Chinese market. However, they found that demand characteristics of Chinese market for fabric imports from Europe were showing new changes compared to the previous two years.

The European exhibitors felt that it was very important for them to carefully read future direction of China's market development before entering the Chinese market.

The participating European companies at the fair said it is particularly critical for them to develop sales strategy for sustainable development in the Chinese market, especially for the high-end brand market.

In addition, the European companies will have to closely watch the changing trends in China’s domestic market through attending annual trade fairs.
