More than five fashion designers showcased their eclectic bridal wear pieces on the opening day of Pakistan’s foremost traditional fashion event Pantene Bridal Couture Week (PBCW).

Designer Zainab Chhottani presented her latest heavily beaded bridal line based on pastel tones of ivory and gold. The elegant ensembles were accentuated with Mukesh and Jaipur paisley-inspired designs and Jamawar detailing.

Young fashion talent Zaheer Abbas featured his collection titled Ishq-e-Jannan, which translates to “love of beloved” in English, portraying the elated bliss of falling in love. Divided into four different colour themes, the opulent line started with black and white, then moving to green and red, later to blue and pink, and finally the main color of eastern brides red and gold.

Seasoned Pakistani designer Mona Imran featured her eclectic range named DULHAN, meaning “bride” in English, at the event. Rich with embroidery, the layered dupattas and sequined pallus were made of comfortable traditional fabrics like chiffon Katan and Jamawar.

Other bridal wear designers like Amna Ajmal and Asifa & Nabeel also presented their latest collections on the first day of the three-day-long event.
