Sierra Leone to host its first ever fashion week

Sierra Leone, the beautiful tropical country located in Western Africa, is going to host it’s first-ever fashion week from April 24, 2013, onwards.

Titled as Sierra Leone Fashion Week (SLFW), the event, which aims to give a major boost to the nation’s fast growing fashion industry, will be organized in the capital and largest city of Freetown.

 

Sierra Leone, the beautiful tropical country located in Western Africa, is going to host it's first-ever fashion week from April 24, 2013, onwards.#

Highlighting the works of several designers and retailers, the two-day-long event will also give an international exposure to its participants.

Proceeds from the SLFW will be utilized for giving education scholarships to nearly 100 secondary school students.

The event will be produced by the US-based event production firm Le Platinum Stars Company, which focuses on using fashion as a medium to assist and uplift people.
