Those who have been waiting to get an up and close view of the delectable couture collection possessed by the late Italian fashion writer and style icon Anna Piaggi will now have to wait a bit longer as the exhibition displaying her clothes has been put on hold.

Earlier this year, Milan’s municipality in collaboration with Piaggi’s family had decided to pay a retrospective tribute to Piaggi’s outstanding contribution to the fashion industry by finding a permanent exhibit space for her belongings at Milan’s Fabbrica Del Vapore culture centre.

However, due to some unsuitable conditions and lack of proper infrastructure at the pre-decided venue, the plan to open the permanent exhibit, which was supposed to be unveiled during the upcoming Milan Fashion Week, has been postponed.

Vogue Italia ex-editor Anna Piaggi, who died on August 7, 2012, is remembered for her exhaustive collection of designer wardrobe pieces and eccentric fashion choices.
