In an attempt to give a boost to the local fashion industry of the city of Saskatoon, located in the Canadian prairie province of Saskatchewan, the volunteer based organization Saskatoon Fashion & Design Festival (SFDF) has opened the second edition of its four-day-long sartorial extravaganza.

The festival is hosting a series of fashion-related workshops and catwalk shows presented by the city’s renowned and up-and-coming fashion talents.

The just concluded event titled In Fashion included a personal workshop on women’s and men’s Spring/Summer 2013 trends conducted by the popular designer/stylist, Rebecca King.

Organized in collaboration with Flashback Clothing Collective, the ongoing event Fashion Retrospective is an expansive display of a range of vintage ensembles.

Scheduled to take place on June 1, 2013, the SFDF Runway will feature creations from Saskatchewan’s top designers as well as a limited edition designer pop-up shop.
