Malaysian batik will go global with its phaseIV of the 'Malaysian Batik – Crafted For The World'.
Tourism Ministry has done remarkable work to provide batik a global platform and Penyayang will organize road shows with them, said Yayasan Budi Penyayang Malaysia (Penyayang) Chairman Nori Abdullah.
Nori Abdullah said they would participate in international textile and fashion exhibition to broaden its market reach.
She is of the opinion that once the Malaysian Batik Council was set up, batik producers, designers and other industry players would get whole world to explore and strengthen the industry.
She also explained importance of the Malaysian International Batik Festival, which is scheduled in November 2006 and 2007.
