During EXPO 2006, a thirteen member Swedish delegation visited and signed several documents and MoUs with officials of Pakistan.
The MoUs were signed amongst the following associations, Swedish Textiles Importers Association and Pakistan Bed wear Exporters Association, Swedish Textiles Importers Association and Pakistan Ready made Garment Association, Swedish Textiles Importers Association and Pakistan Hosiery Manufacturers Association, Swedish Textiles Importers Association and The Karachi Chambers of Commerce & Industry, Swedish Chambers of Commerce and FPCCI and Swedish Chambers of Commerce and Karachi Chambers of Commerce.
Since 2002, Pakistan's exports to Sweden have surged 36 percent and signing of these MoUs will further open new trade opportunities, speeding up growth rate.
Signing of the joint statements between these two countries is commitment to oppose anti dumping duties imposed in bed linen products against Pakistan.
