Montevideo Fashion Week highlights 'Made in Uruguay'

The recently concluded 12th edition of the Montevideo Fashion Week provided an opportunity for Uruguayan designers to showcase their work and also have a look at work of and share ideas with other renowned as well as upcoming designers from across the globe.
 
The national talent to showcase at the event was selected by the National Small and Medium Enterprises (Dinapyme) and the handicrafts division of Ministry of Industries, Uruguay.
 
Siv Goransson opened the show with his line called ‘Crudocruel’ featuring pieces made from hand-knitted merino wool fabrics. 
 
Next, Micaela Robello presented her ‘Halo Light’ fashion collection highlighting the ‘Made in Uruguay’ theme. John Joseph Ferraro also adhered to the same theme in his collection titled ‘Passion’.
 
Carlos Boullosa’s collection was also based on the ‘Made in Uruguay’ theme. 
 
Argentinan designer Patricia Profumo presented a collection ‘Deluxe’, dedicated particularly to brides, featuring bridal gowns in hues of white.
