International Tibetan carpet exhibition opens in Qinghai

An international exhibition on Tibetan carpets opened in Qinghai in northwest China, a neighboring province to Tibet Autonomous Region.
The exhibition is displaying about 300 types of Tibetan carpets in more than 12 categories with more than 200 carpet manufacturers from 26 countries and regions taking part.
There are almost 380 booths showcasing about 140,000 square meters of carpets.
It is the third of its kind held in Xi'ning since 2003 to boost development of Tibetan carpet industry.
China's Tibetan carpet industry has transformed in recent years with usage of high-quality materials, advanced techniques and designing capacity.
China is the second largest exporter of Tibetan carpets after Nepal.
