A group of fourteen well-known designers from Africa and around the world featured their latest creations at the fourth edition of the recently concluded Kenya Fashion Week.

Aiming to establish Kenya as the fashion and urban lifestyle hub of Africa, the event served as a meeting ground for international designers, buyers, models, makeup artists and fashion enthusiasts.

South African design talent Suzanna Heinz showcased a 15-piece collection based on classy black and white hues. Enhanced with intricate braiding, the range included sheer outfits in interesting silhouettes.

The up-and-coming fashion label Afrostreet Kollektions, owned by models Yvonne Odhiambo, Melanie Wachie and Gloria Baraza, featured its signature Kitenge fabric mixed lace, chiffon and silk made ensembles.

Designer brand Nomadic showcased a range of comfy, colourfully printed trousers, made from Tanzania-originated Khanga material.

Other foreign names like Estella Ogbonna (USA), Shahida Zia (Pakistan) and France’s Chauvin-Buthaud Laurence and Christina Schatzeden also presented their latest collections at the Kenyan soiree, held in the capital city of Nairobi.
