A native of New Delhi, India where she studied fashion design, Priya Saluja established her own fashion studio Darpan Boutique. The launch of her maiden collection attracted an immediate and loyal following.
Her designs are influenced by India's rich cultural heritage, and reflect a youthful opulence. This year Priya started her own custom line named “Aaina,” which consists of Indian fusion outfits for a clientele in both the USA and India.
Priya is known for her eloquent and colorful designs, and is a self-confessed worshipper of quality. Her brand is characterized by meticulous tailoring, detailing and an approach that is both conventional and modern, contemporary and understated.
Rich fabrics are often embellished with handcrafted and classic techniques of printing and embroidery. Her style boldly embraces and enhances the sensuality of the human form with a romantic mysticism.
