The rapidly growing Asian market seems to be the latest hot spot for international fashion houses. After Parisian labels like Dior and Chanel, who have wooed the continent with their numerous resort collections, now is the turn of Italian brand Missoni to test the Asian waters.

The family-owned label is all set to foray in the east by playing the guest star at the opening ceremony of forthcoming Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Tokyo which is scheduled to be held from October 14 to 19, 2013.

The Milan-based brand will feature its latest women’s Spring-Summer 2014 designs (which will be first showcased at Milan Fashion Week this month) and men’s S/S-14 collection, which was originally unveiled during its menswear shows in June, this year.

In addition to Missoni, the six-day-long Japanese fashion extravaganza will also feature apparel ranges from 32 local and international designers, such as Facetasm, Johan Ku, Matohu, Ne-Net and Motonari Ono.
