More than sixty young and seasoned designers presented their innovative Autumn/Winter 2014 collections at the recently concluded thirteenth edition of New Zealand Fashion Week.

Wellington-based designer label Twenty Seven Names opened the week-long Kiwi fashion fest with their classic well-cut garments. Based on earthy shades of red, green, blue and white, the prettily tailored schoolgirl-style ensembles were teamed up with cutesy ankle length socks.

International brand Trelise Cooper showcased the latest ensembles from all the three core labels—Trelise Cooper, Cooper and COOP. The ranges’ sleek super stylish pieces include metallic-toned high-tech fabric made clothing, short voluminous skirts in bright pink and red as well as leather jackets and leggings.

Hamilton city-based label NYNE featured its latest range titled ‘Nomadic’ at the glitzy soiree. Balanced with a delightful amalgamation of androgynous and feminine looks, the smartly layered and free-flowing outfits included woollen cardigans, trousers and full-length dresses.

Graphic illustrator-turned designer Hailwood surprised onlookers with his uber cool day wear, sexy slim jeans, wool jackets and capes decorated with his signature bird prints. The designer also presented a vintage-inspired evening wear collection in shimmering, luxe fabrics at the prestigious do.
