To mark the much-awaited reopening of its newly renovated building, the famous Parisian fashion museum Musée Galliera is set to host a retrospective exhibit paying tribute to the works of one of the last old-school couturiers Azzedine Alaïa.

Slated to take place from September 28, 2013 to January 26, 2014, the event will feature more than seventy iconic outfits, designed by the Tunisian-born designer during his several decades-long creative journey.

The exotic to-be-displayed haute couture creations will include a front-zipped little black dress with collars, a furry coat dress and a strapless moulded leather and taffeta skirt ensemble.

Favoured by yesteryear celebrities like Greta Garbo, Tina Turner and Grace Jones, the 73-year-old designer founded his eponymous brand Alaïa in the year 1980.
