Bibhu Mohapatra, the India-born New York-based designer, presented a delightful fashion collection, inspired from various forms of human movements like facial expression and dance, on the seventh day of the ongoing New York Fashion Week (NYFW).

The 41-year-old’s latest ensembles were based on classic tones of coral, ivory, stone, saffron, sage and blush with a generous splash of unusual fracture and bright floral prints.

Replete with smart panels and crisp pleats, the line featured open back dresses in graphic flowery motifs, stiff bustier, inverted tulip skirts, sleeveless tops and black pleat inserted pants.

The internationally acclaimed fashion talent Mohapatra, who has dressed the likes of Angelina Jolie, Glenn Close, Gwyneth Paltrow, Cate Blanchett and the US first lady Michelle Obama, has earlier worked with big fashion labels like Halston and J. Mendel.
