Khadi is getting a new face and is trying to move with the latest trends.
Uttar Pradesh Khadi and Village Industries Board (UPKVIB) has signed up leading designer Basant Rai to introduce the latest khadi summer range that will be showcased at the Khadi and Village Industries Exhibition held at Tej Kumar Plaza.
Emphasis is laid on handicraft from Northeast and Eastern India and stylish tops and elegant skirts are available here.
Rai said that the costumes were difficult as the cost had to be maintained as well as the acceptability.
Tops here range around Rs140-200 whereas chic skirts cost about Rs350 and onwards.
