Soft pastels, shiny metallic, biker chic, bold slits and ecological as well as geometric prints—all were celebrated on the third, fourth and fifth days of the ongoing semi-annual sartorial extravaganza Milan Fashion Week (MFW).

Emporio Armani, one of the sub-labels of international Italian luxury fashion label Armani, opted for a pastel palette and breezy diaphanous materials for the next Spring/Summer-2014 season.

Based on light, soothing shades of green, blue and pink, the line included soft-shouldered jackets, double-pleated wide legged trousers and leaf-embroidered tops.

Fashion house Etro featured a shimmery line punched with heavy metal accents at the event. The lemon, coral and navy blue coloured range showcased sarong skirts, suede and silk pants, waistcoats as well as long halter dresses with scarf-style necklines.

From biker chic to beach fashion, design house Versace touched it all in its latest runway collection. The line showcased silver studded rocker-style denim jackets, skinny pants, bandage dresses, swingy circle skirts and ultra-feminine evening gowns accentuated with bold slits, see-through panels and embroidered lace.

Apparel brand Jil Sander, from the minimalist German fashion designer Heidemarie Jiline Jil Sander, chose to be a little bold for the next season. Infused with unusual detailing, the line’s ensembles included cropped tops with slits, wide-necked weightless dresses, pinafores and classy long shorts.

Ecological, geometric and Japanese pop prints dominated Missoni’s new collection, presented at MFW. Detailed with fringes, embroidery and net patterns, the line featured cropped jackets, oversized T-shirts, one-shouldered asymmetrical dresses and straight cut skirts.
