The fourteenth edition of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Mexico kicked off with an ultra-glam urban collection designed by Mexico City-based fashion talent Alejandro Carlin.

Infused with glamorous beachwear style looks, the gauze and cotton made textured casualwear pieces were decorated with gorgeous pearl embroidery.

Cynthia Buttenklepper presented a very feminine Spring/Summer collection on the same day of the event. Made from breezy, weightless fabrics, the urban line was based in rich darker tones.

Apart from Carlin and Buttenklepper, labels like Alejandra Quesada and Rhapsody also presented their new collections on the opening day of the prestigious soiree.

Scheduled to run till September, 29, 2013, the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Mexico will also conduct conferences and workshops on different aspects of the fashion industry on the sidelines of regular fashion shows.
