In the presence of high profile designers and passionate audience Russian Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2006-2007 concluded in Moscow.

More than 50 fashion designers from Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, and the Baltic States, as well as their counterparts from Britain, the United States and other countries, displayed their collections at Fashion Week.

Aim of the fashion week was to generate demand and provide marketing opportunities for domestic designers, said Alexander Shumsky, the producer of Russian Fashion Week (RFW).

During the fashion week, some designers presented T-shirts with anti-AIDS slogans to enhance public awareness about life threatening disease.

This project was hosted by Miss Universe 2005 Natalia Glebova.

The event will provide local designers ample opportunities in the post-Soviet territory as well as contracts with leading Western design houses.

RFW received extensive support from the Ministry of Culture and Mass Communications.
